Hello. My name is Andrew Watson. I’m a designer working in the San Francisco Bay Area. While I no longer do photography as a full-time profession, I still work on the weekend and evenings as a photographer.

As a kid, I was the artist in my home, drawing pictures of epic battles between weird creatures. As a grew up, I started drawing more landscapes and fell in love with photography and video. I started taking photos of my friends and the beautiful Animus Valley between Durango and Silverton, Colorado. I fell into the design profession after taking a design class that was required for my photography major. After taking that class, I immediately switched majors, as I found design much more satisfying. Now, as a design professional, I have much less time for taking photographs. However, I still take my camera to work almost every day, just in case I get the opportunity to take a great photo.

I am a graduate of Sacramento State University’s interior design program. I was a photojournalist for The State Hornet newspaper, mainly as a sports and event photographer, while working for my degree. I have also helped film a short film, Malaria, as well as a PSA style short film sponsored by the California Highway Patrol and the Fire Department, Every 15 Minutes, to name a few.

As a designer, I have worked with Kogan Builders in Durango, Colorado, Silva Stowell Architects in Sacramento, California, and currently work as a designer / CAD drafter at DMAIA in Novato, CA. I specialize in healthcare design and am currently working on multiple projects for Marin Health, Bank of Marin.

My goal, as a designer, is to improve the daily lives of my clients and those they serve. As a photographer, my goal is to capture life in its fullest form and create beautiful images and works of art trough my camera and lens. I love to meet new people. I love to travel places. I love both my jobs.
